One of the key objectives in Turkmenistan is the rapid modernization of the fuel and energy complex, the creation of modern production facilities, and the expansion of its infrastructure. Processing oil and natural gas and producing new types of products remain top priorities for the country. As a result of the energy policy pursued by the esteemed President, energy security is being ensured at the national, regional, and global levels.
The use of innovative technologies in hydrocarbon extraction, the introduction of modern working methods, cooperation with international service companies, and the development of energy diplomacy have led to notable achievements. Turkmenistan possesses vast reserves of oil and gas. Recent geological explorations have uncovered new fields rich in natural gas and gas condensate.
Implementing new projects in the oil and gas industry is a major task of state policy. Currently, the infrastructure for exporting Turkmen natural gas, oil, and their derived products is being improved. Large-scale efforts are underway to develop alternative routes for delivering hydrocarbon products to global markets, to integrate innovations into oil and gas production, and to attract specialized foreign companies and investment.
A vital requirement of our time is the prevention of environmental problems arising from the production, transportation, and consumption of energy resources. To meet this goal, Turkmenistan is expanding the use of renewable energy and taking steps to reduce methane and associated gas emissions.
