On October 17, the presentation ceremony of the collection of poems by the classic poet Mahtumkuly Fragi, translated into Kyrgyz, took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event, held in a hybrid format, was attended by the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, science and education systems of the two countries, as well as faculty and students, the media.
An exhibition of cultural heritage was organized in the foyer of the Institute, which presents samples of decorative and applied arts of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
As you know, within the framework of the International Forum "Interrelation of times and Civilizations – the basis of peace and development", held on October 11 in Ashgabat, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov. During the meeting, the leader of the friendly country presented the Hero-Arkadag with a collection of poems by Mahtumkuly Fragi, translated into Kyrgyz.
The translation of the poet and thinker's poems into the languages of friendly peoples is a vivid evidence of great interest in the creative heritage of the great master of the word.
The collection of poems by Mahtumkuly, translated into Kyrgyz, is a reflection of the fact that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the peoples of the two fraternal countries is enriched with a new meaning.
The publication allows Kyrgyz readers to get acquainted in more detail with the poetic world of Mahtumkuly Fragi and contains dozens of poems glorifying the ideals of humanism.
The speeches emphasized that the translation of the poet's poems into Kyrgyz is a sign of great respect not only for the personality and work of Mahtumkuly Fragi, but also for the entire Turkmen people.
The installation, thanks to the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and with the support of the President of Turkmenistan, of a sculpture to the famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov, along with representatives of literature and art of the peoples of the world, in the Magtymguly Pyragy cultural and park complex, located in a picturesque corner of the capital, became an important event in the cultural life of the two peoples, demonstrating great interest in further development interstate relations based on friendship and good neighborliness.
In this regard, the statement of Chingiz Aitmatov "Now the name of Mahtumkuly sounds in many languages and dialects.
