Welcoming the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry to the hospitable Turkmen land, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that his visit to our country and the planned talks will serve the further development and strengthening of Turkmen -Russian relations. Having conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to President Vladimir Putin, the head of state noted that the Russian Federation is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan. Bilateral cooperation is long-term and is based on the principles of equality, trust and mutual respect.
During the meeting's continued exchange of views on the current state and prospects of partnership, it was emphasized that interstate relations are based on rich historical experience of interaction, strong ties of friendship and good neighborliness. Political dialogue is developing dynamically, including multifaceted contacts between ministries and departments of the two countries. Interparliamentary cooperation is being implemented, and consultations between foreign policy departments are actively held.
