On June 23, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and velayat hakims, at which issues related to the state of affairs in the agro-industrial complex and regions of the country were considered.
The first to speak was the hakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.
As noted, grain harvesting continues in the velayat in an organized manner, necessary measures are being taken to collect the grown wheat without losses and to transport it uninterruptedly to receiving points. Payments are made to producers for the harvested crop in a timely manner. Plowing is being carried out on the fields freed up after the wheat harvest.
Inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out on areas sown with cotton.
Efforts are being made to harvest the grown potato and other vegetable crops and supply domestic markets with these products.
It was also reported on the progress of construction work at socio-cultural and industrial facilities that are planned to be commissioned this year in the region in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that timely harvesting of the grown wheat crop, as well as compliance with agricultural standards when caring for cotton, are important for achieving high results in agricultural production, and gave the hakim specific instructions in this regard.
In addition, the head of state ordered that work carried out in the velayat within the framework of the country's socio-economic development programs be monitored.
Then the floor was given to the hakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov.
The head of the regional administration reported the good news that the farmers of the velayat successfully fulfilled the plan, producing more than 80 thousand tons of wheat, and on behalf of the residents expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and the President of Turkmenistan for the conditions created for effective work.
The hakim then reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, work is currently underway in the velayat to harvest the grown wheat crop without losses. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely payment to grain producers for the harvest delivered. The fields freed up after mowing are being prepared for the next sowing season.
Inter-row cultivation, irrigation and mineral fertilization are carried out in areas sown with cotton, while agricultural machinery is used effectively.
Along with this, efforts are being made in the velayat to harvest potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops and supply these products to domestic markets.
Information was provided on the progress of construction work at facilities that are planned to be commissioned this year in the region in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the farmers of the Balkan velayat on the successful fulfillment of contractual obligations and emphasized the importance of harvesting the remaining wheat crop to the last grain.
The head of state instructed the hakim to ensure the proper implementation of current seasonal agricultural work, as well as high quality and timely execution of construction work at facilities planned to be commissioned this year in the velayat in accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs.
Then the hakim of Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
It was noted that the wheat harvest is continuing. The areas freed up after the mowing are being ploughed. Payments are being made to grain producers in a timely manner for the harvest delivered to the state.
Currently, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out in the velayat fields sown with cotton, while agricultural machinery is effectively used.
In addition, potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are being harvested in the region.
In accordance with agricultural standards, rice fields are being tended and fertilized with mineral fertilizers.
It was also reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities, which are planned to be commissioned this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022-2028 and the National Program for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the importance of the current agricultural season, stressing the need for timely harvesting of grain without losses and proper care of cotton, giving the hakim a number of specific instructions.
In addition, the head of state ordered to monitor the quality of the work planned for this year in the velayat in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
Then the hakim of Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, grain harvesting continues in the velayat. Appropriate measures are being taken to harvest the grown crop without losses. Plowing is being carried out on the areas freed up after harvesting. Payments are being made to wheat producers for the harvested crop in a timely manner.
In the cotton fields of the region, inter-row cultivation, mineral fertilization and irrigation are carried out in accordance with agricultural standards.
Along with caring for potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, harvesting of the grown crops is underway.
Rice sowing continues in the velayat, and agrotechnical measures are being carried out in the sown areas.
It was also reported on the progress of construction work on social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.
Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of current agrotechnical measures in agriculture and gave the hakim a number of instructions to accelerate the pace of grain harvesting in the region, carry out work to care for cotton plants taking into account agrotechnical standards, and use agricultural machinery at full capacity.
The President of Turkmenistan also ordered to monitor the high-quality and timely completion of construction of facilities planned for commissioning this year in the territory of the velayat.
Then the hakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the progress of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As noted, the necessary measures are being taken to harvest the wheat, to use agricultural machinery and grain receiving facilities at full capacity, and to make timely payments to producers for the grain delivered. Plowing has begun on the areas freed up after the harvest.
In the cotton fields of the velayat, in accordance with the requirements of agricultural technology, inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers and irrigation are carried out.
At the same time, the region is harvesting potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops and delivering these products to the population.
In addition, sugar beet sowing continues. Irrigation is carried out on the sown areas.

As noted, the harvest of wheat grown in the country's fields continues. During the grain harvest, special attention is paid to the efficient operation of agricultural machinery. The harvested crop is delivered to receiving points without interruption. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely payments to producers for the wheat harvest delivered to the state. The appropriate work is being carried out to prepare the areas freed up after mowing for the next sowing season.
In the velayats, cotton is cared for in accordance with agricultural standards.
In addition, work continues on tending rice fields in the Dashoguz velayat, sowing rice in the Lebap velayat and sugar beet in the Mary velayat.
Guided by the set tasks to further strengthen food abundance in the country, work is underway in the regions to harvest and deliver the harvested potato and other vegetable and melon crops to the population.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need for comprehensive measures for the consistent development of the agricultural sector and the achievement of high production indicators, in this regard instructing the Deputy Prime Minister to monitor current agricultural campaigns, in particular, the organized conduct of grain harvesting in accordance with agrotechnical requirements.
Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state noted that grain harvesting is proceeding at a rapid pace, and instructed that measures be taken to harvest the wheat crop in a timely manner and without losses.
The President of Turkmenistan also once again emphasized the important tasks facing the agricultural sector today and ordered that high-quality work be carried out at all stages of agricultural production – from caring for crops to harvesting the harvested crop.
Concluding the working meeting on the digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work.
